That is nice and intentional!

Actually, you can even do:

```
(lambda _
  (install-file "inst/bin/r"
(string-append #$output "/bin")))
```

I think (!) you also need to import (gnu packages pkg-config) and add
PKG-CONFIG to NATIVE-INPUTS.
