I fixed it by using the Rename button under Settings/Sharing

I got the same 502 several time this morning. It usually didn't work
for a few minutes and then started working again on it's own.
App: bettlen
time: about 2:55 PCT

Do you mean www.yourappname.heroku.com? That won't work - I don't  
think we were anticipating anyone would actually want to use that  
format. I want to make sure I understand your question right, so  
please let me know if this answers it.
