I may send one or two more reminders, but otherwise, my future contributions

[Histonet] Automated Special Stainers

2015-12-29 Thread Charles Riley via Histonet
Does anyone know of an automated special stainer (other than ventana's
nexus stainer) that is good for doing GMS and other silver stains?

Re: [Histonet] autostainer for GMS

2015-12-29 Thread Terri Braud via Histonet
Just my 2cents. I've had good experiences with the Artisan, both before and
after it was purchased by Dako.
It's very user friendly and very reliable.

Hi there
We have been using the Dako Artisan for many years and have been most satisfied
by the stains it produces.
We now have 2 instruments linked together via a server with 1 PC running both.
We run all the silver stains daily. GMS, WS, RETIC, PMS (jones), plus all the
other regulars. Consistently good results.
The system is user friendly and the staining protocols are easy to tweak and
customize.
Highly recommended.
Regards
Anne

Please save the date for the next HISTOPALOOZA! III~
The GSH will once again host our symposium at Legacy Lodge at Lake Lanier
Islands, April 22 to 24, 2016. If you've never visited Legacy Lodge, it's
worth the trip. Beautiful lake and opportunity for continuing ed. credits.
You won't be disappointed. It's not like the time you went on a trip and the
picture looked great but when you got there you realized you were in a Dump a
few hundred miles from home. Haha Happy New Year !!
