Hi, I was hoping to get some input on the Thermo Scientific STP420ES Tissue Processor (the one that looks like a washing machine). Is anyone using it? Pros/Cons? [Histonet] congenital syphilis
Hi, I was hoping someone would have a suggestion for a stain for congenital syphilis on a placenta. Our pathologist wants this done- I know a warthinstarry or steiner would work, but we do not do either of these stains. Would a diff-quik stain work? [Histonet] Biocare TB antibody
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has used the Biocare TB antibody on the Ventana XT would be willing to share their protocol. We are having trouble getting this antibody to work for us without background staining. [Histonet] microtome blade donations
Hi, One of our pathologists is going on a volunteer mission to a pathology lab in Malawi, Africa in a few weeks, and he is looking for donations of low profile microtome blades for the histology lab there. He said they will need around 200 blades or so, but any amount would help. He leaves on July 21st, so we are under a bit of a time crunch. Thanks! [Histonet] RUO antibodies
I know this has been brought up before, but the question of whether or not we can bill for RUO antibodies has come up in my lab. I was under the impression that you could use the RUO antibody with a disclaimer, but could not bill for it. Our pathologists say we can bill for RUO antibodies as long as we have the disclaimer. Does anyone know which is correct, and where I can find the documentation to back it up? Thanks.
