I just need a moment to ventis it just me or is everyone seeing more and
more back order issues with their various vendors? It is not specific to any
one particular vendor, product or even category of product, but lately I am
being told more and more often that an item is not availableexpected
release dates anywhere from a few days to 6-8 weeks! This is starting to
cause real problems .

Thanks for letting get this off my chest.I will resume my frantic search
for another antibody vendor now.

Hi All,

Has anyone ever used a Biotin block in their primary anitbody diluent? I have
been having problems with nonspecific staining, which I suspect is due to
endogenous biotin. I plan on decreasing my antigen retrieval time, as someone
has told me that an antigen retrieval that is too vigorous may cause the
unmasking of biotin, and its subsequent staining. I would like to know if
anyone has had any luck using a biotin block in their diluent because I may try
that as well.

Thanks,

I have had one for a few years now and love it. You can also monitor it
from another location if you have analog internet. It is really easy
to change out the reagents and is way less messy than most other
processors. You need to make sure your reagents stay topped off. The
only real problems I have had with it is a Pathologist loading it wrong
and not setting it down on the tongs correctly and breaking my basket
that the cassettes set into.
That was kind of a nightmare. I had to retrain the Pathologist.
