Hi Histonetters! I am working in a research lab and we sometimes need to do p16 staining, but our pathologist told us that the antibody we are using right now is not good. [Histonet] Blades for cutting resin on a microtome
Happy Friday Histonetters! I am working on a histology platform in a research center and someone came to me last week and asked to cut blocs of resin (JB-4 resin) on the microtome. I never cut anything else than paraffin, so I was wondering if some of you had advices for me? They never did it neither and took their protocol in a paper where it was said that we should use disposable glass knife instead of standard metal blades. Are any of you ever used those knife? Where do you buy them? We have an old Leica RM2125. Thanks for your advices! [Histonet] microtome
Hi histonetters! We are a molecular biology lab with a histology facility (we do whole FFPE tissue sections to build TMAs and then TMA sectionning). We currently have a Leica RM2125 in the lab, but want to acquire a new manual microtome, mainly as a safe because we depend a lot on tissue sectioning. Could anyone give me some advice/suggestion on which microtome to buy? We only use the regular cassettes. [Histonet] Secondary antibody for Ventana detection kits
Hi, I would like to know if you finally optimized your staining with the anti-goat and the open secondary kit. If yes, can you tell me which antibody and dilution you used? I'm currently trying to do the same thing here. So far I only tried secondary antibodies from santa-cruz (the same that we use for western blot) without any positive result.
