There are lots of different markers for fibroblasts via IHC - If you are
looking for a good source Acris Antibodies has quite a few fibroblast markers

Vimentin,
Smooth Muscle Actin
FSP-1 (fibroblast specific protein)
Pro Collagen I
CD34
Prolyl-4-Hydroxylase beta
HSP-47

I have a two page document that I will send to you that lists a lot of what I
have already and what types of fibroblasts that they stain for - we have used
most of these in various species.

Hello all,
Don't have a ton of time to search so am asking. Any good markers specific to
fibroblasts? And am drawing a blank for regular special stains for some reason.
Researcher says Vimentin is not specific enough.
Thanks,
Bernice

[Histonet] Fibroblasts Floating on Medium after 24 hrs.

2011-06-07 Thread Khaire Dai
Hi

I have started growing the human normal and cancer associated fibroblasts.

The cells I got are from the vials preserved in liquid nitrogen and have seeded
the cells on culture plates. Now after 24 hrs only very few cells are attached
to the plate almost all of them are floating.

How long should i wait for the cells to attach or remove the floating cells?
I don't want to loose them as i dont have any backup for these cells.

Thanks in advance for the support.
