[Histonet] HPV ISH

2018-10-22 Thread Kurth Virginia L. via Histonet
Hello
I have seen question for KDL asking about HPV ISH (awhile back). My lab would
like to bring on the HPV ISH using the RNA ISH probes provided by Ventana using
the silver detection, are you on board using this process for HPV, do you have
any insight for me.

[Histonet] HPV testing on head and neck tumors and reimbursement

2018-01-22 Thread Martha Ward-Pathology via Histonet
Hello,

My billing group wanted me to ask if anyone is seeing denials for reimbursement
for HPV testing on male Medicare patients when it is performed on ffpe for head
and neck tumors? We have seen a few denials recently and they wanted to see
how everyone is handling the coding. This is for CPT code 87624.

Thank you in advance for any input you may have on this issue.

[Histonet] HPV Probes

2017-11-07 Thread lab via Histonet
To All,

I am looking for control tissue blocks or control slides for individual HPV
probes. 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33. Does this exist to purchase? I have looked at a
dozen companies and after some research they will come back with nothing. I
have found high and low controls, but I am looking for individual controls.

Thank you, in advance, for your time.

We have been running the Enzo probes (In-Situ) on the Ventana Ultra since their
product was taken out of the market 2-3 years ago. We use both the high and low
cocktail. It's working fine for us. Email me separately if you are interested

[Histonet] HPV DNA Probe question

2016-01-22 Thread Erin McCarthy via Histonet
I am curious what people are using for HPV probes. We recently stumbled
upon the fact that our current probe choice is RUO - to avoid a sticky
validation and LDT process I would like to replace that with an ASR or IVD
ideally. I cannot seem to find one, however. Additionally, our Pathologists
prefer HR and LR be run on separate slides instead of as a cocktail.

Anyone have any thoughts?

[Histonet] HPV 16/18 background

2016-01-08 Thread Edison Narvaez via Histonet
Hello,
I'm running HPV probes from Enzo on my Leica instruments, and we are noticing
background episomal pattern on 16/18 staining of cases that are strongly
positive for HPV 6/11, but not on cases that are 6/11 or 16/18 negative.
Is anybody experiencing this same issue and are there any suggestions.

I'm using Enzo probes, Enzo Stringency wash, Enzo mouse-antibiotin, and a
polymer detection kit.

Thank you
