Hello - How does everyone handle having a positive control for Oil Red O - We very infrequently have this stain and have had difficulty keeping control on hand. Re: [Histonet] Oil Red O control
There was a discussion on this recently, so you may want to search the archives for it. In my opinion, the easiest and best control to use is Mayo. Just smear it on a slide as you need it and there you go. Cheap and easy. RE: [Histonet] Oil Red O control
Hello Histonet Users, I have a question about Oil Red O staining. Could the Oil Red O solution(Poly Scientific, Cat.No. S1848) be reused? I would appreciate any feedback whatsoever. Thank you very much. Once you mix your stock solution with water, it is good for only about an hour. Then you have to discard it. Michelle Aloni MS HTL (ASCP) USC Keck School of Medicine ___ Histonet mailing list Histonet@lists.utsouthwestern.edu http://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonet
