Re: [Histonet] Microwave processor
I absolutely love the Milestone Pathos Delta, which is fully automated that can be used formalin and xylene free without having to buy proprietary reagents. They also have a variety of options based on your type of lab and workload. Feel free to contact me if you have more specific questions. [Histonet] Microwave processor the Histo 5 for rodent tissue
Hello histonetters, I'm wondering if anyone out there doing animal work has used the milestone histos 5 or other instrument to process rodent tissues. I would like your options on the quality. I would be interested to hear if this works well for IHC and bone decaling.. I cannot help you with your specific enquiry, re the microwave processor, but gently suggest you learn from this experience and keep a comprehensive record of methods/techniques used in your laboratory, good luck anyway -Original Message- From: histonet-boun...@lists.utsouthwestern.edu [mailto:histonet-boun...@lists.utsouthwestern.edu] On Behalf Of RP Sent: 03 February 2010 00:09 To: histonet@lists.utsouthwestern.edu Subject: [Histonet] microwave processor Hello All, I have a dilemma and was hoping you guys could help me. I just took on a part time job in a small GI lab and the previous tech working there left without no one knowing how to use the microwave processor and there's no procedure. I was wondering if anyone has used the Lab pulse Microwave Tissue Processor H 2850 by EBSciences and if there is a procedure for small BX's. I see nothing but magnets on the side and there is no letters or numbers indicating where the magnets are placed. Also I've never used one before. ___ Histonet mailing list Histonet@lists.utsouthwestern.edu http://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonet ___ Histonet mailing list Histonet@lists.utsouthwestern.edu http://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonet

Re: [Histonet] microwave processor
The Pathos can only run one run at a time. It does everything a conventional processor does. It is fully automated. On Mon, Dec 8, 2008 at 7:50 AM, Evans, Andria B. We currently have the Histos 5 and are looking at getting another one of those or a Pathos (the big guy from milestone). But we have little information on the Pathos. I have a couple questions that maybe someone could answer Can you run more then one run at a time on the Pathos? (currently we can run 2 runs at a time on the Histos 5) Does the Pathos do the everything on the machine from fixation, to alcohol rinses, to the end product?? (We have to do all the rinses and changes manually with the Histos 5) If anyone has any other information on the microwave processors that they would like to share that would be great!!
