We wear gloves we have to sterile section blocks for DNA/RNA extraction. Keeps the slides free from contamination if we are placing sections on slides, otherwise we are sticking them in a vial. All equipment associated with the sterile sectioning is cleaned between each block (block holder, blade holder, forceps etc) and gloves are changed. Bernice

Dear All, I am looking some kind of references out there that addresses that it is not a requirement to wear gloves when handling / cutting paraffin blocks. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank in advance, Muhammad Tahseen Senior Supervisor Histology SKMCH&RC Pakistan _______________________________________________ Histonet mailing list Histonet@lists.utsouthwestern.edu http://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonet _______________________________________________ Histonet mailing list Histonet@lists.utsouthwestern.edu http://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonet
