Monday, July 9, 2001 Rise in student crime ratesJOHOR BARU: Crime cases involving students in Johor increased by 300% to 112 reported in the first five months of this year compared to 38 for the same period last year. Thefts and break-ins were the most common form of crime committed by students with 104 cases reported between January and May, said Johor chief police officer Deputy Comm Datuk Kamaruddin Mohd Ismail. He said motorcycles were the favourite targets for such thefts with 86 cases reported in the last five months. He said violent crime among students were under control with eight cases registered for the same period. "The increase in thefts is an indication of a lack of discipline among our school children. There is an urgent need to contain the situation. Tuesday, July 10, 2001 PAS wants to help restore UM hallKUALA LUMPUR: PAS wants to do its bit to restore Universiti Malaya's Dewan Tunku Canselor which was razed recently. Its vice-president Datuk Dr Hassan Ali said the matter was expected to be raised at the next PAS central working committee meeting on Sunday. "We do not know yet in what form the contribution will be ... but I am not ruling out a donation drive among PAS supporters," he said yesterday. Dr Hassan, who chairs the PAS education bureau, said he acknowledged that some current leaders of PAS and thousands of their supporters had seen their "graduation days" at the famous university hall. However, the party's Youth chief Mahfuz Omar accused the Government of turning the fire into a witch-hunt to punish students. He said the recent student arrests were proof that the Government was looking for excuses to "harass" students. Saya ada satu masalah yg saya sendiri tak dapat nak selesaikan. Begini..
Saya berusia 29 tahun pada tahun ini, belum berkahwin dan mempunyai kerja
tetap sebagai engineer di sebuah oil and gas company. Masaalah saya ialah

Saya mempunya seorang kekasih berusia 16 tahun ( Form 4 ). Cantik, cerdik,
perwatakkan menarik dan berbudi bahasa. Keluarganya tidak menghalang
perhubungan kami, bahkan mereka mendesak kami menikah walaupun usia
kekasih
saya ni baru belasan tahun. Ini adalah kerana mereka takut sesuatu yg
tidak
elok akan berlaku dan malu pada org kampung mereka. Saya faham dan
mengerti
maksud baik mereka. Saya, kekasih saya dan keluarganya tidak ada apa2
masaalah mengenai hal ini. TETAPI, mak saya tidak merestui saya berkahwin
dgn gadis ini kerana mak saya tidak dapat menerima keluarga gadis
ini.Walau
bagaimanapun, mak saya sedia menerima kekasih saya ini seadaanya. Alasan
mak
saya ialah orang tua kekasih saya ini tidak sesuai utk dijadikan besannya
dan ibu dan ayah mertua saya kerana nampak kebudak-budakkan ( Mak dia
berusia 34 tahun, ayahnya 40an dan mempunya anak seramai 10 org, kekasih
saya anak sulong )Mereka kahwin muda dan keturunan mereka semua nikah
muda.
Apa yg patut saya lakukan dalam hal ini, sedangkan saya telah menghamilkan
kekasih saya sebanyak 1 kali dan telah gugurkannya. Sekarang dia positive
hamil utk kali kedua. Saya sedang berusaha utk menggugurkannya. Tolonglah
saya dan saya harap tiada maki hamun dan kata2 kesat terhadap saya.

Assalamualaikum,
Yang baiknya saudari tok sah dok bincanglah dengan kawan kristian pasal
agama, bawa sahaja pada orang yang pakar. Buktikan saudari yang islam ni
dengan penghayatan dan amalan ketaqwaan.
Sebab mereka ada macam2 termasuk sihir, silap haribulan saudari yang kena.
Muzakarah ni apabila kita ada kemahiran dalam bab2, nahu, sorah, mantiq,
sirah, Al Quran, Hadis.
Kita mestilah orang yang benar2 arif, sekiranya kita masih bertanya naka
buat macam mana, paling baik dekatkan mereka pada ulama'. Jika mereka
enggan, itulah tanda kita hampir kepada perangkap mereka.
Apatah lagi saudari seorang terpelajar lagilah mereka perlukan, cukup mudah
untuk meginayaai saudari, peristiwa yang sama berlaku pada jiran saya yang
terpelajar, orang kristian nak sangat bersama Islam, ajaklah datang kerumah
dilayannya, kemudian diberi makan dan minum, dicampurnya air sihir, syukur
Allah selamatkan beliau. Ada juga yang kena sihir dan di tangkap video
lucah,... masa tu hanya Tuhan sahaja yang dapat selamatkan kita. Ada anak
tok imam, sebagai Doktorpun sanggup jadi isteri paderi kerada disihir dan
ditangkap video lucah, mulanya kerana nak ajak kawan masuk Islam.
Maka sekali lagi saya nasihatkan saudari jauhkan diri dari mereka, melainkan
saudari sudah ada kemantapan yang hakiki.
Saya doakan agar saudari selamat di dunia dan akhirat.

I had forwarded an article The Prophethood in Islam to my Christian
friend and end in the following discussion. Can somebody help me to
reply to his comments ?

My statement:
Peace be with you. I have managed to find sometimes of my weekend to
check the Quran with regard to your comment that Jesus was raised from
death, and I AGREE with you that Jesus also has an ever lasting miracle
(which we cannot phisically prove or be the eye-witness right now
because we were not there when he rose and we can't see him in heaven
right now, not like the Quran whereby we manage to be the
eye-witness/experience the miracles ourselves) that was not mentioned
by the writer of The Prophethood in Islam that Jesus was raise up to
Allah (in heaven). But, I prefer the statement in the Quran in verse
4153-162(below) that the Jew kill not,nor crucified him, but rather it
was only made to appear to them that they did.
My Christian Friend comments:
The Jews had to make sacrifices (kill animals) so that they could
be forgiven. In order for an unholy human to be with a holy Allah, we must
be forgiven for our sins. So the Jews shed the blood of the animals to be
forgiven. We believe Jesus was killed and his blood was shed not like one
animal for a few sins, but he was killed (sacrificed) so that all people
could be forgiven for all their sins. Since we believe Jesus is the son of
God, he never sinned and was therefore a perfect sacrifice. But unlike the
animals, Jesus rose from the dead, he defeated death, and by believing that
he is our Savior we can defeat death, be forgiven, and live forever in
Heaven. So, why would it be an illusion as mentioned above?
