Salammulaykum all,
Would like to say thanks for those who have expressed their opinions and
concerns regarding my opinion about the millennium party. Some were not nice
to read and some were tact.
Since it has passed, (and none was able to stop the parties since it was too
late) let's not get into it at present. To those who feels very strongly
against such parties from happening again, (which i think most of you are) i
would be doing a favour here to remind you that there will be similar
parties at the end of this year (31 dec 2000) as the real millenium starts
in the year 2001. Most of you will be aware that it will be dalam bulan
Syawal 1421...i think 4 days after raya puasa. So ..apa lagi? Now you guys
have ample time to do anything to stop these parties from happenning again.
In my humble opinion, daripada you all just complaining & mengutuk org kat
sini & mintak Allah swt turun bala kat our leaders & those people yang
participate in the parties, i suggest you all sekarang bolehla start doing
something about it. Then we'll see whether such parties will happen or not
on 31 dec 2001. I wish those people good luck!

Assassination Attempt on Aslan Maskhadov
Chechen president escapes 10th attempt on his life
(WASHINGTON, DC - 01/17/00) - At 10:30 pm EST January 16, 2000, Mr.
Anzour Aslan Maskhadov, son of the President of Chechnya, was able
to contact ISCA offices via telephone from a secure location. He
informed ISCA Chairman, Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, that an
assassination attempt had been made on his father four days ago in the
mountains outside of Grozny. During the attempt, several people
were killed and many were wounded, but his father escaped without
harm. Mr. Anzour Aslan Maskhadov requested that the council
follow up on this matter with appropriate representatives of the
international community to investigate this assassination attempt
and determine who is responsible.
On behalf of his father, Mr. Maskhadov asked for all possible action
to prevent further bloodshed in Chechnya, particularly to stop the
devastation that affects civilians and is a travesty of human rights.
He also called for humanitarian aid in the form of shelter, food,
clothing and medicine. Mr. Anzour Aslan Maskhadov encourages the
Chechen Foreign Minister Ilyas Akhmadov, in his current visit to
Western countries, to continue to clarify the Chechen situation and
to explain how important its resolution is to the whole Caucasus
region. Mr. Anzour recalls for the public record that President Aslan
Maskhadov is the democratically elected leader of the Republic of
Chechnya, elected as a part of the peace agreement between the
leadership of Chechnya and President Yeltsin in 1996. The OSCE observed a
high turn out in these fair and open elections, and
recognized Maskhadov as the legitimate and democratic leader of the
republic.
ISCA calls upon all parties concerned to end the fighting in Chechnya
and to seek a diplomatic solution without delay. ISCA also calls upon
the US State Department and the international community to
immediately dispatch assistance to refugees of the war in Ingushetia
and other areas. ISCA reminds the public that there are over 250,000
refugees as a result of the current crisis. We call on the
International Red Cross/Red Crescent, international NGO's and
government bodies to do whatever is in their power to relieve the
suffering and difficulties of the refugees.

yes you are correct. Vision and Mission are different. I too studied this
in one of the business subjects in university.
A vision is usually a short statement. It's starts with a dream that you
want to achieve. What is your ultimate aim? Let's say your vision is to "set
up a business by end of this year". Then you come out with a mission
statement. A mission statement is a statement which compliments your vision.
According to your vision, your mission statement should include the things
that you want to achieve in setting up your business. Meaning, how do you go
about in making sure you set up your business by end of the year? Therefore,
a mission statement is usually longer than your vision. Example, a mission
statement would sound something like this.."in setting up a business by end
of this year, my mission is to make sure i have enough resources ie capital,
labour, assets etc and to discipline myself to be hardworking and also to
practice good time management."
Below is an example from Telekom's vision & mission statement:

JeFirefakta fakta yg ada kat dalam url tu are interesting. Walaupun,
it's not the first time i've read or heard such a thing. Bukan nak cakap
that those fakta are betul, neither am i saying it's wrong. The point of the
matter is, we will never know. And what makes you all so sure that it's a
fitnah? Is it not true that Anwar has special relationship with Michael
Cohen and the likes? You all sure sangat ke that all those fakta are wrong?
We will never know. The only person who knows for sure would be Anwar
himself & Mahathir. Mahathir definitely did not do all this without a good
reason. And that reason is not for him to continue on staying. Put yourself
in Mahathir's shoes...(which i think not even half of us can)...he is OLD.
Obviously he wants to retire. He worked hard day & night for the past 18
years for our nation. i could never think a person his age, especially a
malaysian..what more a malay would still work his ass off until now.
Mahathir is forever thinking, forever writing notes. Always thinking for the
benefit of our country. Memang he has made mistakesgrieve mistakes. And
that is also for reasons we would never know. He is human after all.
Most of you would put Mahathir down. I take it as one peribahasa, where it
says, "satu titik nila, rosak susu sebelanga". After that one drop of
nila..most of you refuse to accept him. It is understandable. However, i
shudder to think of anyone taking over his position at the moment. Anwar is
out. Whatever anyone says about mahathir...who else in his 70 plus years of
age would still perah his otak to make sure his dreams & ambitions for
Malaysia succeed. Look at your fathers, at your grandfathers and moreover
look at yourselfwould you sanggup do this in your old dying age for the
sake of responsibility and for the love of your country?
In conclusion, my point is, we will never know the truth. Whatever story u
hear ..be it from anwar's side or mahathir's side, there's bound to be some
cover ups. ANwar & mahathir's ego now are so huge that they will never admit
their wrong doings.

razman, don't easily judge me as not following the true teachings of islam
merely because i didn't add in Allah swt. I was saying in terms of 'people'
who know the truth. People as in humans. I do not refer Allah as one of the
people. I'm fully aware that Allah is the All Knower in everything in the
heavens & the earth.

do all this WITHOUT a good reason. Therefore i am saying that he did all

of you would think that way. That's why i say, we will never know the truth,
simply because we chose not to believe what anwar or mahathir says.

The reason i posted article macam tu is because i wanted a variety of
discussions in hizbi. Believe me, i did not bersusah payah cari articles
about anwar's keburukan. I came across it. and also, bukan susah pun nak
cari articles about anwar's keburukan.
What's the point of a forum group if we just discuss one side of an opinion?
there's no thrill. And moreover, it is not healthy. A forum group should be
able to take anything that is posted. I'm not saying everyone should agree
to every postings...but one should be able to read them with an open mind.

very interesting this article. i hope i am not reading it incorrectly, as i
tend to disagree with the writer. The writer said that:

The writer claims bahawa tak ada nas dalam alquran that says nabi isa was
lifted up to the heavens alive. I beg to disagree. Surah Maryam, ayat 33-34
says that"And Salam (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I
die, and the day I shall be raised alive!" Such is Jesus, son of Mary. (it
is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute).
Also...the writer said that dalam alquran takdak nas which says nabi tak
diutuskan lagi. Again. I disagree, because dalam surah Al-Ahzab, ayat 40
says..Muhammad saw is not the father of any man among you, but he is the
Messenger of Allah, and the Last (end) of the Prophets, And Allah is Ever
All-Aware of everything.

the last of the Prophets.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "My similitude in comparison with the other
prophets before me, is that of a man who has built a house nicely and
beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. The people go
about it and wonder at its beauty, but say: 'Would that this brick be put in
its place!' So I am that brick, and I am the last of the Prophets."

What is so wrong about that message sgmedia? Just because he's not muslim
does that mean he can't share some sentiments that we muslims feel
especially regarding harmony & peace? If you're so terkejut with that, check
out Wan Azizah's Cristmas Message to Christians in Malaysia (below). There
is absolutely nothing wrong in expressing greetings of different religion. I
personally feel good about it. It shows that humanity can stick to one even
though we practice all sorts of religions and faiths.

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
Even as songs of Christmas fill the air, I tender my sincere wishes to
all Malaysian Christians and Leaders of Churches for a blessed Christmas.
In my days of schooling from Std 1 to Form 5 at the St Nicholas Convent
in Alor Setar and my medical studies in Dublin, I came to know of many
Christian teachers and friends. Our times of mutual learning helped foster a
healthy and positive mutual respect for one anothers culture, religious
beliefs and practices.
I recall two aspects of the Christian story which can serve as an
inspiration to building a just and caring society. Firstly the song of the
angels; "Glory to God in the Highest, and on earth peace, goodwill
among men." Secondly, the humble and modest circumstances of the birth
of Christ.
Our prayers for our beloved country is for peace and goodwill to prevail
amongst all Malaysians. In this attitude of prayer, we need to be humble and
modest in all our dealings with one another.
It is the people of humble and modest means who suffer the most from any
economic downturn or misadventure. Just a few days ago I visited the victims
of a fire at Kampung Kerinchi and I carried away with me the images of women
in tears as I greeted them.
As Christians observe Christmas and Muslims, the month of Ramadhan, let
us ever be mindful of those around us who are of very humble and modest
means who are in need of help in their daily life.
Wishing all Christians a Joyful Christmas

This story is interesting indeed. I have read a similar version of the story
regarding the creation of the nafsu, some link it as the ego of mankind.
According to this book, "Lore Of Light: Stories from the lives of the
Prophets" Volume 1 by Hajjah Amina Hatun, it is said that everytime Allah
(swt) asks nafsu, "Who are you?", Nafsu would reply, "I am I, and you are
you." This happened 3 times. And every each time, Allah punished nafsu to
the heaviest afflictions for 1,000 years. The 3rd time, Allah asked nafsu
the same question, nafsu said, "well, who am i?, Who are you?" This time
nafsu's pride had only increased. So Allah (swt) ordered it to be placed in
the Valley Of Hunger, and it was tormented by hunger for another 1,000
years. Only after this punishment, that nafsu aknowledged Allah (swt), "You
are He beside whom there is no other God." It has been punished by hunger
alone, and for this reason Allah (swt) has enjoined on us a whole month of
fasting so that our nafsu might be disciplined through hunger.

I don't understand why people like you resort to things like this. To even
suggest this *sigh*
Let them have the party. It will be their lost not yours. the party is for
MALAYSIANS & tourists who wants to celebrate new year's eve, tak semestinya
for muslims. We all know, we are living in a multi religious society. how to
prevent something that other religion does not forbid? As i said, it will be
their loss. If ada muslims yg participate in this party, (hopefully no), let
them face the guilt (if they have any) It's between them & Allah swt. Allah
knows best how to punish them. let's not act as if we are Allah & know
better as to punish them. I think the most we can do, as fellow muslims, is
to pray to Allah swt to let our fellow brothers & sisters open their heart
to respect this Ramadhan by not participating in such parties.
