When I read some postings made directed to Syazana, I did realise some of us still far behind from achieving a status of a good Muslim. From my poor understanding, I think a good Muslim is a person who is able to maintain his composure in whatever conditions he may have. Nonetheless, the person would be able to give a nearly perfect example to others, not otherwise; making mockery against other people who are clearly of the same religion as we are, who are nevertheless, may or may not be, of crying to grab some helping hands. Secondly, about politics and Islam. You don't need to convince other people to make these almost two identical twins be separated. If you think you are a Muslim, who are willing to sacrifice some golden opportunities of your lifetime to do what Allah SWT wants us to do, then you should be able to realise that if Islam is a way of life, and politics could not be separated from our life, then I think we are matured enough to make our own calculation without even need a high-tech scientific calculator. About leaders, personally I respect each of them according to their commitments to other people. As a Kelantanese, I respect Nik Aziz, not just because he is a Menteri Besar and a main leader of PAS, but he has a good personality towards other people. On the other hand, I respect Mahathir, not because he is a Prime Minister of Malaysia and The President Of UMNO Baru, but because what he has done throughout his life to bring the nation up to a stage that we have now. Alhamdulillah, Praise To Allah SWT. I do believe each person on the earth has their own mistakes. What we have to do is asking for an apology, and granting a forgiveness. If we think their mistakes are huge enough not be neglected by a nation, who ever knows how big our own mistakes are to Allah SWT; we don't need a mirror, just follow your own inner instincts you have when you feel so closed to Allah SWT during prayers. However, as a brother of Islam, it is our part to remind people of a good intention constructively; manners are parts and parcels that could make us sinful on the eyes of Allah SWT. Allah SWT has given us stories to be learnt; a notorious female prostitute ended up in the heaven of Allah SWT, and a respectable charismatic Muslim cleric ended up in the most scary punishment of Allah SWT; the hell. Therefore brothers and sisters, we may be seen as a true fighter on the path of Allah SWT to other people, but who ever knows on the eyes of Him, The Creator. Watch your steps forward, as we may forget, we are fighting for good reasons but with wrong methods which consequently may be judged by The Creator in such a bad verdict. Assalamu'alaikum wbt, In this case, let the government of each nation decide what they would do with Abu Sayyaf and its stupid so-called Muslim fighters. Personally I have no objections whatsoever if those people would be killed during the attack. However, I do hope a peaceful solution would be achieved first even though Abu Sayyaf followers are so sturbborn and idiotic. From my personal POV, I don't think we, Muslims, have to kill other people to achieve our missions. In fact we must try to assimilate what we have into this new era so that we could go along with this so-called the new age modernisation. It is not an Islamic way to punish innocent people just to address our needs to another group of people - making other people as a bait. Islam is a religion of peace - peace to the world, and peace to all humanity. As long as we are not prevented from our rights to practise Islam as a way of Islam, there is no cornerstone whatsoever for us to be together, and fighting against other groups of people of different ideologies. It is just not an Islamic way of Islam to make war with other people without a proper reason. If there are reasons behind it, therefore by all means go ahead, but don't make other innocent people as victims, if not for your own sake, pls do so for Allah SWT's sake. It is just not Islamic to do otherwise.
