Press Release Dated 17th June 2000 LIKE FATHER LIKE SON: ASAD FAMILY OF OPPRESSORS The death of Hafiz Asad brings to four the oppressive Arab Leaders which Allah (swt) has recently rid and hence blessed the Muslims world-wide with. The Kings of Morocco, Jordan and Bahrain being the others. However true to the nature of a dictatorial regime each has nurtured a son in waiting to continue the hegemony begun by their fathers. Therefore amid celebrations amongst Muslims world-wide there is prolonged and deep sadness as well because of the reality that we are yet to face more oppression before the dawn of a new era brings with it the sweeping away of all these tyrant regimes and their replacement by the Khilafah (world-wide Islamic State). The record of Hafiz Asad reads more like a convicted mass-murderer then a supposed ruler over his own people. Brought in by a military coup Asad (which means lion in Arabic, used by Asad instead of his real name Al-Wahish which means donkey!) was behind the murder of over 30,000 Muslims in the city of Hammah in 1980 after which government officials had to put up a sign stating that herein once lay a city called Hammah! He is the same butcher who let his soldiers enter this city to `enjoy themselves' in authenticated reports of mass rapes of women and children. In 1976 when Muslims liberated 60% of their land of Lebanon he is the traitor who responded by killing 20,000 Muslims in Tallaz-za'tar eventually giving the Christian Maronites 70% of Muslim land. In addition in 1974 he welcomed Israeli forces into Qunietira without resistance although he made sure he declared to the world that it fell through heavy fighting, Muslim soldiers present remember hearing the news of the fighting whilst they were in Qunietira still waiting for a sign of Israeli forces to appear! This legacy of pillage and barbarism is enough to make any sane person sick and angry, unless of course you happen to be either the puppet master in the West such as Britain or America (who have economic, strategic and military interests to protect in the area) or unless you are an equally fascist dictatorial ruler such as King Fahd or Husni Mubarak. There is no surprise therefore that messages of condolence have come from these sources hand in hand with praise for Mr Asad's son Bashaar in the hope that any Islamic uprising in the area will be resisted collectively by one and all. Political analysts have nevertheless commented that internal rivalry amongst the ruling Ba'ath party could ruin the plans for the Asad dynasty in a country which has in the past been the example for those who want to learn how to orchestrate a soup. The shear hypocrisy of the ruling elite put the icing on the cake when they changed the Syrian constitution to allow Bashir to govern. What kind of democracy is this that can change the law and order as it wishes to ensure that their man comes into power? Perhaps Muslim within the army who feel a sense of responsibility will take the opportunity during this political vacuum to hand the authority back to the Muslims so that they can appoint from among themselves a Khalifah as required by the Qur'an and sayings of the Messenger Muhammad (saw). A leader who will govern according to the law of God as opposed to the law of man. A State which will carry Islam to the world as opposed to one which gives away Muslim land to the disbelievers. A head of State which will be a shield behind which the Muslims and fight and defend themselves as opposed to a head at war with Allah, his Messenger and the Muslims! O Muslims, rise up against the oppressive rulers over you, support the Islamic movements working to establish the Khilafah and pray to Allah (swt) that he grants us authority to rule by what he has revealed sooner rather than later, Amin.
