Dia bukan ditindas, tetapi merelakan dirinya ditindas.
Bukankah dia sendiri ada mengatakan bahawa dia akan
terus jadi Gurkha dalam UMNO. Maka "doa" nya itu, di
aminkan oleh Berahim Ali. Lalu dia kekal sebagai
Gurkha.

Seperkara lagi, memetik salah satu ceramah Abe Jak,
bekas Ketua Penerangan 46 Kelantan yang juga calon BA
yg menentang KU Leigh di Gua MUsang, Ku LI pernah
janji kat org 46 semasa membubarkan 46, bahawa dia nak
masuk UMNO utk menentang Mahathir. Sekarang apa sudah
jadi?

Kalaulah KU LI kekal dalm 46, dan gelombang reformasi
menyerang, mungkin hari ini Mahathir tengah
semput... Apa tidaknya. Penyokong DSAI
bergabung dgn penyokong Ku Li.

Ku Li. kau semakin dipinggirkan. Lain kali,
jangan lawan sama Tuan Guru. OK?

 Perperangan dalaman UMNO semakin ganas.

Kelmarin Mahathir dengan putar-belit kotornya telah
 membatalkan pencalonan Bahagian Gua Musang.

 Leigh.

Dulu don't know, sekarang dah jelas...
Siapa berani dalam UMNO, Mahathir akan pulas !!!

Former Mahathir rival disqualified in race for
 senior party post

KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 (AFP) - A veteran Malaysian
politician who almost unseated Prime Minister
Mahathir Mohamad in 1987 was disqualified Monday
from running for a senior post in the ruling party's
 May elections.
Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah last week obtained the 17th
nomination that qualified him under party rules to
stand for one of three vice presidents' posts in the
 United Malays National Organisation (UMNO).

But Information Minister Khalil Yaakob, who is UMNO
secretary-general, said the party's supreme council
had rejected the nomination by the Gua Musang
division which Razaleigh heads in northern Kelantan
 state.

Mahathir, who chaired a supreme council meeting,
said this was because the nomination was not made
directly by the division and was instead referred to
 its committee.

"To prevent any precedent, the supreme council
cannot accept the nomination made by the Gua Musang
 division committee," Khalil told reporters.

On March 31, the division nominated Mahathir as
president and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad
Badawi as deputy president but did not make any
 nominations for the vice-presidency posts.

That task was entrusted to the division's committee
which met last Friday and nominated Razaleigh,
giving him the one crucial nomination he needed to
 qualify to contest.

Asked if it was an attempt to prevent Razaleigh from
running, the premier said: "People can always
interpret, what can we do about it?"

Mahathir cannot be challenged as party president.
Abdullah is also assured of the deputy presidency.
Both were nominated almost unopposed when UMNO local
 divisions met last month.

Holders of the top two posts in the party which has
dominated politics for half a century are
automatically confirmed as premier and deputy
 premier.

Mahathir says this will be his last term in office.
Elections must be held by 2004.

Winners of the vice-presidency posts will be well
placed to run for the deputy presidency or even for
president in party polls in 2003.

Razaleigh last month formally bowed out of the race
for the top two positions. He had never announced he
was a contender but strongly hinted he would run if
given enough grassroots support. This failed to
 materialise.

After his failed challenge to Mahathir in 1987,
Razaleigh quit to find a breakaway party. He and his
supporters returned to UMNO in 1996.
