RE: [hlcoders] Loopable MP3

2005-06-20 Thread Tony Paloma
Ya, I use Goldwave. You can do what you need to do using the demo version.
Just set a cue point at the point you want it to start looping, usually the
beginning. But does anybody have any ideas on how to solve my problem?

Cooledit pro. I think there is a demo version that you will be able to use in
restricted mode.
load your wav and go to Tools. Hit find loop points and then play the wav in
loop mode.
You could also try Acid, Recycle or "the Daddy" Soundforge.
All will do what you want in demo version.

Can you recommend any tools that let you set the looping of .wav files? I
have a few wavs I have been trying to get to loop but cant find a good tool.

There could be, I haven't really looked. I don't think it would solve the
problem either. The main problem is as soon as the player goes out of
hearing range from the mp3 and comes back, the sound has stopped playing. It
does this with WAVs too, unless they are set to loop in the WAV file. With
MP3s, you can't add a cue point to make it loop like you can with WAVs.

is there a way to find if the sound is still playing? you could just
replay the mp3 every time it stops
