SV: [hlds] ServerList Destroyed

2004-09-16 Thread Ares
Do as I did when I hade my TFC server called "187 KiLLiNG FiELDS T1 @
Sweden". Lend it out too a clan. Let the clan use it too play games on and
stuff. It was one that server I meet the Swedish Elite Clas from TFC such as
MsA, [8th] and some others I don’t quiet remember.

This much I know - a week or so ago, Valve changed something, and ever since
my servers have had almost no traffic. I'm really not sure what to do about
it. If I can't figure out how to get the traffic back, I'll shut down and
move to something that will generate traffic

So - what to do about this?

[hlds] overflow

2004-09-16 Thread Guido Rainuzzo
I was testing my server and this error appeared on the console:
SZ_GetSpace: overflow on svs
WARNING: datagram overflowed for svs

It kept appearing repeatedly, and every time it showed, there was
major lag with just one person on the server, is this problem
client-side or server-side? how do i fix this?

Re: [hlds] ServerList Destroyed

2004-09-16 Thread Cian Sweeney
The CS2D server list system is quite good. Although it only has 40
servers tops, it uses a reporting system, to the USGN website, and
then just sends the list to each requestin client. That way teh client
does not check on all the servers. My cs 1.6 was never listed on
master list, just on favorites, but its always listed in CS2D.

Move to CS2D, I had no traffic in 1.6, and my server is FULL all the
time is it. Its not really a crazy game though.

Hi fellow gamers lol. i run some cs servers and i was wondering if
the
people who hack have to add a line to there config, and if so what would
i look
for in the config to see if the person hacks. if not what do they do to
the
config file or any file in the steam dir to enable hacks. do they run
them
separetly before starting up cs? thank you

There are way too many different ways to hack cs.

Try googling some of the more popular hacks to see how they work.

[hlds] [OT] Server Booking (reservation) Program?

2004-09-16 Thread list
I'm looking for some type of server booking program. I know that a couple
previous members of this mailing list were working on something of this
nature a while back but haven't seen anything recently posted in a long
time.

I found a program called HLBook located at www.playway.net but the site
hasn't been updated in forever and it looks like it would be a bitch to
install manually.

So, anyone know of a decent server "reservation" program?

Thanks.
Tremens
