Re: [hlds] Odd lag problem
Right, We've changed all servers to win2k3 and everything seems to work quite allright now. No more that weird vnc/lag thingy. Only one more thing. We run 2 32max servers per box. CPU load _never_ go's over 75%, but still its lag spyking on heavy maps such as aztec and inferno. The inet line is 100mbit, so there aint the problem either. Any suggestions ? P4 3.0 Ghz 1024MB DDR 400 win2k3. Servers run wc3x. But it should not form a problem as we've done it before. We also tested without plugins, same effect. - Original Message - From: Whisper [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2005 1:33 PM Subject: Re: [hlds] Odd lag problem Default HLDS installs? Re: [hlds] So I hear VAC2 is coming...
Whisper... Your geology is correct but your geological history is not. The continents are SEPERATING not coming together. 8) Far as Valve and VAC 12...they are at least letting us know they ARE working on it. That's a lot better then practices last year and prior years. Far as I am concerned any news is good news. Even if it is a vague announcement that its coming. But I don't think they would have mentioned it if it wasn't close to release. I just hope its as good as the rumors I am hearing of it are. Doh You're right I mis-interpreted something I read The Atlantic Ocean will become larger than the Pacific (supposedly) at some time in the future Thats assuming the Mid-Atlantic Ridge doesn't rise high enough to split it in half :) On Tue, 15 Feb 2005 13:15:43 -0500, StealthMode [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Whisper... Cream wrote: and damnit, let us use UDP ports for rcon again, i cant find any IRC admin bots for CS:S. On that note, could you find a suitable one for HLDS? Any of the buggers I've tested leave quite a bit to be desired. I'm talking about standalone bots, not a Mirc script or HLSW. If you've got any (aside from CSBot, that is), I'd love to hear about it.
