[hlds] RE: MAC Mini - Virtual PC Linux Server
If I am understanding this you have 3 independent OS's 2 of which are either emulations or running as a second process within a second process each of which has to decipher the main systems IP protocols. Drop the Virtual PC and use OS X's own xUnix base to run SRCDS - you don't need any emulators as OS X is Unix based and will run SRCDS on it's own. Hey Ned, there is a nice and free application that allows you to get a short version of a long link which can sometimes break on new line. Also check how much cpu and ram you are using, you maybe maxing out as the server fills. Dropping the Linux virtual server and using the windows version will help this. [hlds] Error! Server Varification Failed
Hello List, I have been getting, in the past 36-48 hours or so, the following error message "sometimes" when connecting to servers. "Error! Server Varification Failed". I get all the way to the server, actually can see what mods they have installed (AM, SM, etc) but stop short of getting fully connected. This only happens sometimes, and it's not always the same servers. Some DOD servers, some TFC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Stoned Smurf AKA The Joint Chief ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds

Re: [hlds] Re: Windows 2003 HLDS install problem.
My guess is because you are running an emulation (already slow) ontop of another emulation later, everything the gameserver is trying to do is taking 3 times as long because it has to traverse up two layers of emulation before its processed, if you catch my drift. Ditch the emulation if possible. - Original Message - From: "Ned Haskin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Saturday, June 25, 2005 11:46 PM Subject: Re: [hlds] Re: Windows 2003 HLDS install problem.
