Re: [hlds] Title problems - #Title_SelectYourTeam
Yah. And for the select team dialogs. I seem to be in teamplay mode, or OZ just defaults to that. OZ has CTF components (not sure if they are complete or not), so that is probably the select team dialog appears. OP4 and TFC, for example, have titles.txt. - Original Message - From: "Glenn Dysart" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Saturday, May 13, 2006 10:01 PM Subject: RE: [hlds] Title problems - #Title_SelectYourTeam Mine sure doesn't. [hlds] CPU - System Process Issues - Dual Proc System
I have a server it's a dual proc AMD system. I have a weird problem. I do not know what is causing it... Obviously that is why I am here.. Just curious if anyone else has seen this and has any ideas what might be going on. If I connect to the Windows Server with Remote Desktop it all is fine. As soon as I disconnect the pings start to rise on the hlds servers. The "System" process pegs one of the CPUs. All of the servers I have bound to the main CPU start to ping out and lag. When I connect back to the Windows Server with Remote Desktop eventually the System process goes back to normal. I have disabled all non-essential services I believe. It is weird that this just happens right as I disconnect from remote desktop. I was thinking maybe it was some type of back door or something on the server. However, I see no additional bandwidth usage at that time. Everything network wise looks reasonable. I don't know how to start trying to find out what specific process that is being ran by the "System" process as I know it does a lot of work on behalf of the services. This is why I went through and disabled non-essential services. I wish I could disable more but as the server is remote I don't want to accidently cut myself off from being able to use remote desktop. This appears to happen each night around 1am. But I cannot verify this as I normally am not up this late playing on the server. It eventually passes from what I am told and then it goes back to normal. My scheduled tasks are set to run at around 5am so it is not some scheduled process causing the problems. Does anyone have any idea? I know this really is not a hlds issue so please forgive me. But I just though you guys would have an idea of what might be going on. I already ran spybot search and destroy and adaware on the server. I am at a loss to try to figure out what is going on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Scott ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds

Re: [hlds] sv_downloadurl DOESNT revert to trickle download if map not found on webserver
Curtis, only you or someone who has access to your email account can subscribe yourself to this list. If you didn't do it, then your email has likely been compromised (dude, what do you expect of a hotmail account?) and you should scrap the account and get a new one. If you did do it, then only you can take yourself off of this list. Instead of spamming us, please follow the instructions that appear at the bottom of each email from this list, and remove yourself. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds Look in your email inbox for a message with a subject of " hlds -- confirmation of subscription -- request ...". The only way to get on this list is by replying to that email, or following the instructions in it. Alfred, this list is a double confirmation list, isn't it? IOW, it's not possible for someone to sign up without responding to an email from the list, correct? We seem to be having a rash of people that are wondering why they are on the list, but IIRC the only way to complete the signup is to resond to the "do you really want to be on this list?" email the mail manager sends out. - Original Message - From: "curtis smith" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Saturday, May 13, 2006 6:31 AM Subject: Re: [hlds] sv_downloadurl DOESNT revert to trickle download if map not found on webserver why do you have me on your maiing list when I have never played half life lol? Re: [hlds] Title problems - #Title_SelectYourTeam
Neither did the valve install before I installed OZ. Looks like Neither valve nor OZ has a titles.txt. Does anyone running a valve and/or OZ server have a titles.txt in their valve/oz directory?. - Original Message - From: "Stomper" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Friday, May 12, 2006 7:46 PM Subject: Re: [hlds] Title problems - #Title_SelectYourTeam this is becouse your oz install has wrong or no titles.txt installed - Original Message - From: "Ook" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Friday, May 12, 2006 7:50 AM Subject: [hlds] Title problems - #Title_SelectYourTeam Look at this pic: http://www.OoksSteamingPileOfCrap.com/hlserverstuff/badtitles.jpg Why do I see #Team_AutoAssign on the button?
