I hate paying the price myself but 4-5 dollars a gallon may finally wake people up and get them to do something about it. Alternate technologies and higher mileage cars are within reach but there is little interest. Here in Russia we pay 0.8$ per litre which is too much for oil exporter in my opinion. It was only 0.25$ just five years ago when oil price was far more reasonable. Ironic.
