they do theyre job, but what do you need to get higher than 512? 
Decompile the fpsbooster hacks and increase the hack?

[hlds] mp_tournament

Hi List,

Hows the wife and kids?

Last night i used mp_tournament for the first time, as we had a clan match.

mp_tournament was set to 1 in server.cfg but when the match started it threw
us staright into the game.  The bit at the top that says teams ready (press
f4 to cancel) was there, pressing f4 didnt cancel anything.

So, i frantically searched for some info on it and found that doing rcon
mp_tournament_restart 'fixes' it - which it did, nice.

Can i just ask, is what happens when you use mp_tournament a bug and
mp_tournament_restart is a workaround for that bug and 'eventually'
mp_tournament on its own will work first time?

Or is it just supposed to be like that?

You can't on windows 2003. On windows 2008 you can, because HPET is used.

I don't want higher then 512, 200+ fps is fine. The problem now is that the
FPS is not keeping up stable, it keeps jumping from 250 to 10 and back.

Pat,

The wife's doing great, as are the kids although they don't exist.

When you put mp_tournament in the .cfg did you reboot the server
afterwards or just change the map?  In my experience using tournament mode
it generally takes a server reboot in order for it to work correctly.
