[hlds] L4D search_key server good for only 1 use?
Hello, i half-ass host a couple l4d servers... I don't really know the ins and outs. I just have a sv_search_key set for my community When the servers start, people can use the key just fine, but once everyone leaves, and the server starts hibernating again, people cannot find the server via the lobby with the search key. This seemed to start happening right after the most recent l4d update. The server is a linux one, but I am not sure if this an issue unique to linux servers. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
Re: [hlds] IP Blacklists
They made it very clear that only the very worst of the worst would be delisted. AKA those who have fake player counts, or those that direct to a different server immediately upon connection. These servers that have many connections that last seconds only seconds and little to no players staying on for extended periods will be the ones that are delisted. I've been told this has been happening on my servers since the recent update. The search key will stop working until I restart my servers. I also am running on linux with forked servers. [hlds] In-Game On-Join Message Addon
Hey guys, I have another question for you regarding available addons. I've looked everywhere (supposedly) and I've got to be missing something cause I can't imagine that there isn't an addon created to do the functionality I'm looking for. Do you guys know where I can get a hold of an addon that upon joining the server, text in the chat box will say 'admin has joined', 'donator has joined' or something along those lines? Preferably something that looks at the admin flags and steam ID's for comparison between a standard user, and one with specific flags. Thanks again guys, I know I'm going to be facepalming soon. -W|P ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds

That's likely from the map you're running. At least, the only time I've gotten anything remotely similar was when there was a faulty build of cashworks with too many edicts.
