That was causing lag on my Linux servers where the spray folder has 4K+ spray files and it couldn't find a spray (server paused for a second or half) So I disabled sprays. Also about the freezes, try disabling bots, see if the freezes go away. Re: [hlds] TF2 Lockup/Hanging Crash
I haven't experienced locks up on Linux ever since I disabled their breakpad, but apparently that option is now broken. So I guess I'm not getting lockups on Linux servers either. I switched to Linux completely after one of the SRCDS updates made my Windows servers unplayable, due to very low fps and very high CPU usage. Funny how a VM with Linux on top of a Windows install performs so much better :(. On Mon, Aug 30, 2010 at 4:26 PM, Tony Paloma drunkenf...@hotmail.comwrote: Not getting any lockups here. Re: [hlds] TF2 Lockup/Hanging Crash
Actually it seems that its not just one specific crash, but other crashes can lead to this lockup too. So the lockup on crash is more of a general problem I think, plus I cant really remember a crash that didnt hang since this whole issue started. - Original Message - From: msleeper mslee...@ismsleeperwrong.com To: Half-Life dedicated Win32 server mailing list hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Sent: Monday, August 30, 2010 21:37 Subject: [hlds] TF2 Lockup/Hanging Crash I think I deleted the thread where people were talking about this originally, but I wanted to confirm I also am seeing the locking crash with TF2.
