It is a phishing expidition, and I fell for it via the person claiming to be
a Valve admin. Never again.

I got the request about a month ago followed by a phishing attempt. They
purported to be from Valve and wanted to confirm my password. I asked them
for their STEAM_ID so I could report them to Valve.

friends list and somehow stealing the accounts
i am also seeing many ppl suddenly trying to add me to their friends list
1 members account has already been stolen this way
