[hlds] Kick a person with specific name , and reserving names
I was wondering if there was a plugin or even if amx itself had the ability to kick someone with a name i specified. For example, if 'charlie' joins server, he/she gets kicked. Also, i wanted to know if you could reserve names, but not take up a slot, i specify a steam id for a name, STEAM_0:0:1 for name 'charlie', and if STEAM_0:0:2 joins with name 'charlie' he/she gets kicked. If STEAM_0:0:1 joins with name 'charlie' , nothing happens. I am using: AMX .98a. Thanks in advance, Guido Rainuzzo Server Specs >> 3.2 GHz P4, 1024 MB RAM. P.S. Re: [hlds] VAC Update?
Well, i always thought about posting about this (months ago) and now i will share what i have to say, I will not lie, but i have cheated before. But, the world changes, so as cheats. I host a superhero server, and sometimes it takes hours if people hack, i have been begging for a VAC update, but one day i figured out that the cheats are going to evolve just as VAC does. Then one day i got my steam id banned after an update ( i am not a smart cheater ) Well, i got a copy of counter-strike, and played, and as time went by, everyone started to notice the increasement of people hacking, and hacking, and hacking. One day i decide to install skins in my cs, and i get my steam id banned, i buy a copy of CZ just for the CS:Source and i play again. I have quit playing cs. There are too many cheaters. And that about people getting banned because they're just good, it happened to me once and only once and its probably going to be my only one. Also, i dont think that 3/4 of the cs population cheats, i think it is much less then 1/3 , but what i do know is that it is increasing. I hope the people at Valve are reading these posts, we really , really , need an update. A reason in the increasements is the shut down of WON, i do believe that at least 3/4 of the cs population in WON did cheat, but a big reason that there's more cheaters in 1.6 servers is the 1.5ers moving on. Someone here said that he had to go into at least 5 different servers for there not to be any blatant cheaters, i think your exagerating a little bit there. But then again, your could be not exagerating if you went into an insecure server, which i do not see any point into going in one of those unleess you have your steam id banned. Well, that's what i think, but we should push valve for an update, stand up for the non-cheating cs-community. - Guido Rainuzzo - Original Message - From: "K. Re: [hlds] VAC something wrong. "Definition"
Well, i know it wasn't a DLL that caused the ban, i installed the skins by downloading the .mdl and .wav and .spr files. VAC should be updated, i have banned about 15 people from my server because of hacks, now i cant till i get a new key. If i get CZ, would i still be able to play normal CS? Crackers are the criminals, for example, when a 'crack' is used on a program so that the trial goes on forever, that is illegal. There are some 'legal' hackers. Read it in a book, forgot the name, but it is all about legal hacking, and you get paid for it too. The VAC 3 strike out and then ban is great. It's a good idea for my point of view. Because spending 20 dollars on this game, and then not be playing it for at least (1) year, kinda sucks. I feel bad for all those noobs who downloading something innocently not knowing that it is going to ruin the game. But, i don't feel bad for those people who download cheats and get banned. As for me, i am going away for a week, so im not going to be near a computer to read e-mail. P.S: For that guy who said to try on another secire server, i did, i have my STEAM ID banned, not banned from a server. - Original Message - From: "David Fencik" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, July 22, 2004 9:59 PM Subject: RE: [hlds] VAC something wrong. I had a superhero server up, 24/7 assault. the ip was x.x.x.6. It was full 24/7, except for some times because it was run on dsl and on a computer that was frequently used which causes, a LOT of lag. Re: [hlds] Master List
Well, i think i have this problem too. But the interesting thing is, if the server is not listed, there would be no activity on the server, but in my server, theres a lot of activity, never goes empty, never. I am behind a router too. Not a firewall. The problem that i am aware of with my server, is the port. It is a random port, 50011 i think it is now. I have forwarded the port from my Modem and from my router, 27015 that is. And the port is still the same. I dont know if i have to restart my computer though. I didnt. Well, i know this wasnt much help, but i cant find my server on the list either. - Original Message - From: "Skirecs" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, June 16, 2004 4:32 PM Subject: [hlds] Master List > I've asked this question before, but I don't think you understood it.
