There could be a number of certain conditions that could have helped to cause it. I was using the latest version on Windows Server 2003 Standard with several different HL mods. I tried it for a month. It's a waste of time. It has serious bugs that need fixing. The author ceased to release any new updates. After it would be running for well, can't remember how long now, but it'd run for several hours or a day or something, it would use 100% CPU and stop restarting HLDS and I'd have to kill it off. I've since switched to FireDaemon, and it's proven to be a good investment so far, only exception is I wish it handled/closed error message windows that some mods cause when HLDS crashes.
