Sigh... I posted before (December?) with this issue. Stock was fine. Stock + MM+SM showed 14. It was repeatable and consistent. It magically fixed itself after a few restarts. Something about MM+SM causes this. So yes, I will blame teh addons and teh pluginz! I restarted my server and it set it back to the 4/8 slots depending on the game play. Hasn't switched back to 14 yet, but I guess I'll wait and see. I have it showing as 14 on only two of my L4D servers, all of which have SM. We have 2 campaign, and 2 versus. After rebooting the servers it goes back to normal. Must have been a DST thing. In the meantime... one could add sv_visiblemaxplayers 8 to their server configs. That way it would not trigger any alarms in TCAdmin or any other shared server host control panel. I have half a dozen of them doing that as well. HLSW would show 4/14 and 8/14 respectively depending on if verses was running. This is new and has just recently started, its not from any update either. There hasn't been any as of late.
