If anyone at Valve has an answer they speak up right away.
If they don't ... They are quite.
They don't have an answer for VAC and never will.
MP is dead unless you do a private LAN event or set a server password.

Hey folks,
There seems to be a large number of threads coming up on the lists
asking some legitimate questions and getting overlooked by Valve staff,
such as the state/progress of VAC and getting rid of all the no-steam
hacks. The threads are full of speculation, but some of you have hinted
that you know something the rest of us don't.
So, to those of you who do take the time to email Alfred, Eric or Erik
off-list, PLEASE share the info you get from them in a new thread. It'll
go a long way toward spreading the information that we all need. They're
all busy folks at Valve, and if one person gets valuable info from them
and shares it, it'll likely make all our lives easier.
