anything from torrent."
I use bittorrent to download patches for servers. Would you condone
that?
Perhaps you should have worded it, "I would not condone using anything
downloaded anonymously from a cheats site."

There's a lot of dopey users around that'd fall for this, though it's a pretty stupid idea since it's traceable to the server that's collecting the keys that people put in. That global ban thing you were talking about, there's one for UT2004, not exactly the best system, but they only allow ISP server owners to add or approve global bans, the randoms that sign up can only ban from their own server or choose to have the global bans loaded onto their server =) http://utan.unrealadmin.org I think. Obviously it's not the same for HL2 as it is for UT2004, but a good community style banning system might be good for all the smaller server operators that lose players when cheats appear =) Bahamut.
