Did we ever get an official statement from valve about
the performance issues that seemed to be caused by the
last update for HL1 based servers that a few people
have mentioned here on the list ?

I know the rollback seemed to fix the issue but was
there any official fix or statement about this problem
?

Yes but lets close our eyes to last update.. I still got the same question
about tweaking many HLDS on several CPUs

No, we won't close our eyes since in this thread we are discussing one
particular problem caused by one particular update, not general tweaking
stuff.
