[hlds] gameinfo.txt
This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Do the updates HAVE to overwite this file? Its a small inconvenience to have to save a copy and write over it everytime. I have forgotten on more than one occasion and because I use metamod and sourcemod none of my plugins load and I have to go back and reboot the server. I know its not a huge issue but it would be nice not to have to do this on every update. -- ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds

There are updates released for metamod, that you don't have to edit the gameinfo.txt file anymore ... check http://www.sourcemm.net to see how it works ... Re: [hlds] gameinfo.txt
Seriously. Having to reboot each server twice after a patch (once for the update and once after I put in the correct gameinfo.txt file) is maddening. -Darren On Mar 12, 2008, at 9:52 AM, Timothy L Havener wrote: This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Do the updates HAVE to overwite this file? -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Question was already asked before, the answer is yes. If you want to not worry about it, metamod's site has instructions to install some sort of VSP plugin that turns on your plugins. http://wiki.alliedmods.net/Installing_Metamod:Source Look at Normal Installation On Wed, Mar 12, 2008 at 11:52 AM, Timothy L Havener [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Do the updates HAVE to overwite this file? Re: [hlds] gameinfo.txt
I wrote a small batch file that renames the gameinfo.txt, runs the update command, deletes the new gameinfo.txt, then renames the old one back to gameinfo.txt. Works swell and I dont ahve to remember to do anything. HP Darren wrote: Seriously. RE: [hlds] gameinfo.txt
Just a quick question, I have the new metamod installed also with mani admin plugin. But i see my admin chat/hlstatsx 2 times. I have deleted metamod from gameinfo.txt, so that can not be the problem.. is this just a bug (because i have it on all 4 servers) or am i doing something wrong?
