Yes, I am running some custom maps, did have trouble with a few and stopped using those. It wasn't just bot trouble, these maps had a lot of errors. just random bugs I imagine, those messages mean it was trying to read from memory that doesn't belong to it I believe. Re: [hlds] srcds.exe - Application Error
oh oh oh, I missed a lot of this conversationbutbots and custom maps are BAD NEWS. I have run a lot of custom maps for years, and I can also attest that about 1/3 to 1/2 or so my my custom maps (which is about 300-600 maps) will crash with bots. I used botmans bots, which I like, but just had too many crashing problems. I've use rho-bots and the bots on OZ, same problems. Crash city. What I finally had to do was to load up my mapcycle with several hundred maps and run the server. Each time the server crashed, I removed that map from the mapcycle. Eventually I had a set of maps that were 100% stable. No more crashes. Please not that this occured with HL1, not srcds, but I would not be surprised to find that Source has the same problem :( - Original Message - From: Matthew Welch [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Sent: Wednesday, June 01, 2005 5:09 PM Subject: Re: [hlds] srcds.exe - Application Error Are you running custom maps?
