I do have heard some bad things about iPhone development ( I have been doing lately ). I'm trying to use flash cs 5 now, but apple put the breaks on that. Good thing spirit jb makes it easy to jailbreak now. Sent from my mobile. Re: [hlds] team fortress 2 updates heads-up
like ConnectBot for ssh/telent on Android, this app is nice to have in a pinch. Very simplistic though, would be nice if it could get the server log like hlsw, and at least be able to save some common commands or have a history log (unless there is one and i couldnt see it) Also getting a lot of timeouts when issuing commands - on wireless too so the connection is solid. But yeah, great to have if i need to do some admin in a pinch. Hey Allan, let's have a private conversation on-list: I started writing some simple applications for Android, their SDK/IDE is pretty neat. You write your stuff in java and can even run it through a free emulator. "total control". For iPhone has been amazing. Worth the ~3 bucks. Sent from my mobile. Re: [hlds] team fortress 2 updates heads-up
There already is an iphone app for rcon access to game servers. It's called 'Total Control', by Innovadev. Unfortunately, they charge for the 'full version'. I don't hink it has been updated since I bought it, and it never listed the current number of players on the server properly, but you can go to the players list and see how many people there are. It's a little bit clunky, but functions well. I would always be interested in anything better, and would be willing to try out anything free. :) -- Matt On 5/21/2010 5:26 PM, Niels Meijer wrote: > Willing to pay for it? > But for free! I love you! - Reply message - From: "Noel" Date: Fri, May 21, 2010 23:24 Subject: [hlds] team fortress 2 updates heads-up To: If you have an Android device, enter the market and search for "Source Server Manager" - it's a free application by a Mr. Matthew Livingstone that gives you the ability to remotely issue commands to Source servers. Between using email apps to watch for the update emails Jason sends to this list and using the Source Manager app to send commands remotely, you never have to worry about being near a computer in case of updates. (Of course, depending on where your server is hosted, you can also just use a smart device browser to access web management tools. I know the Android 2.1 browser allows me full access to the NFO control panel, for example.) -brambles On May 21, 2010 12:06 PM, wrote: Send hlds mailing list submissions to hlds@list.valvesoftware.com To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to hlds-requ...@list.valvesoftware.com You can reach the person managing the list at hlds-ow...@list.valvesoftware.com When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of hlds digest..." Re: [hlds] team fortress 2 updates heads-up
If you have an Android device, enter the market and search for "Source Server Manager" - it's a free application by a Mr. I know the Android 2.1 browser allows me full access to the NFO control panel, for example.) -brambles On May 21, 2010 12:06 PM, wrote: Send hlds mailing list submissions to hlds@list.valvesoftware.com To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to hlds-requ...@list.valvesoftware.com You can reach the person managing the list at hlds-ow...@list.valvesoftware.com When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of hlds digest..."
