Hi Andreas,

I said it sets the affinity to one core, then reassigns it to all of
them (automatically) - thus you will not need to do anything about it at
all.

This happens in an instant as the server is started, you wont be able to
see it. :)

When ServerChecker starts a srcds process, my task manager says, that it
uses all cores ... is that normal? cos you said it starts with the affinity
to one core ...

And where do i reassign it to all cores again? in task manager, too?

of course just fire up vmware and assign it one core per vm.  you only
need 512 megs of ram per server..easy way around this issue..

3200 and 2Gb ram. It's not about hardware. It is all about that HLDS after
Feb 2006 update can't choose right core well. It is well known problem and
was discussed here a lot of time ago. I was using  5 Dec 2005 version until
now, and it was good, but now I can't use old version for some reason. So I
have no idea why valve couldn't fix it for suck a long period of time.
