Re: [hlds] [HLDS] Crashes under FreeBSD 6.3 after latest Update for CS1.6/CZero

2008-10-31 Thread kama

Hi,

I am having the same problem. So you are not alone. I have aprox 30
crashes per server per day. Before I hade barely one per day across all of
our servers.

You could also join hlds_linux with the rest of us freeminded people that
are Linux and FreeBSD fanatics.

Then you will notice that you are not alone in the universe.

Hey Alfred,

Was wondering if there were any updates on this issue? Not to rush, but just
wanted to know if you guys were working on it or should I begin reinstalling
my FreeBSD :(

Many thanks

Thanks Olly, here's crossing my fingers for a resolution or I would have to
reinstall my whole box :(.

Strange how it had 'alfred' in that error when it froze tho.

Depending on what's on that line of code (only valve know), an update may be
needed, but if its only you that is having the problem, then I guess not.
You don't need to do anything, but wait for a word from valve. There is
nothing you CAN do.

That registry.cpp line isn't a problem; just ignore it.

Wait, so would this be where the fault lies as to why it's crashing? Would
this mean the devs need to issue a new update? (sorry kinda new at this, not
even sure how to use this mailing list) :P

That's just the source file that compiled into the steam bin. You shouldn't
have that file on your server.
I'm sure one of the valve devs can sort this out from that log.
