Re: [hlds] HldsUpdateTool changes have broken scripted updates
Yes I can not update my servers! Trying to bring a new server online but can't connect to update servers. It times out. Failed to connect to any GeneralDirectoryServer, WinSock Error 10060 "Connection timed out" Also the other server that is already updated cannot connect to the master server and does not appear to start although it is. Could not establish connection to Steam servers. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Nephyrin Zey Sent: Friday, May 23, 2008 4:32 PM To: Half-Life dedicated Win32 server mailing list Subject: Re: [hlds] HldsUpdateTool changes have broken scripted updates While we're at it: The -dir flag should work with the -command version thing, right now it tries to auto-detect the dir, so if you have multiple server directories you need to clone the tool. While we're at it: The -dir flag should work with the -command version thing, right now it tries to auto-detect the dir, so if you have multiple server directories you need to clone the tool. Also, -command version should print both current version *and* newest available version so we could make easier update-check scripts. - Neph On Fri, May 23, 2008 at 2:03 PM, Steven Hartland <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Been trying to track this down for a while and finally found > it tonight while struggling to get the DoDS beta to work. > > What's happened is the updater now exits after spawning a > second "temp" updated process.
