Thanks. I'll keep an eye out here if you do. I'm in the same boat, playing with Perl with a logscanner for other things and dev time is little. RE: [hlds] Small map study
Very interesting. Oh, so it's the study that's small. The maps are normal size. :) -Original Message- From: Janzert [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, May 24, 2004 2:15 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [hlds] Small map study I recently did a small study on how well certain maps drew or retained players. You can find it at http://www.geocities.com/janzert/mapreport/ This is mostly just a proof of concept for the method. I'd appreciate any comments on the analysis done and if anyone has seen anything similar before. Re: [hlds] Small map study
This is truely very intresting as I have always wondered if anyone ever looked into thismost maps you can tell on a server per server basis on what maps hold and gain people.Like iceworld of anytime is a good caller of joiners where as cbble and prodigy and nuke plus as_oilrig are big losers.Normally your regs will stay but everyone else will drop.Go figure I guess its all in the flavor for the day...
