Okay, thanks for the heads up, btw, is anyone other than me experiance weird
lag with the new server?

Or is it my test client pc?

The ping is good, but it lags every now and then, with sound and movement
coming to a halt.

I only have one machine to test on, since my own pc has gentoo, and I've
failed to get Steam running on it, thuogh I think I'm getting close :)

My DNS servers wasnt stopped, just the game ones. I wanna estimate a

IME servers only go into insecure at startup if there is a problem with
the Valve servers being overloaded/down/unreachable.
Normally, if your bandwidth is enough for players to connect and play on
all your servers, downloading SM shouldn't be a problem either.

AFAIK cmdline vars that start with - cannot be set in autoexec.cfg while
those that start with + can.

I was thinking. There have been a few additions over the years to the
comm=
and line variables. I personally keep the command line as simple as
possib=
le and load the rest from autoexec.cfg.

Im wondering if anyone (erik, alfred..etc??)has a list of ALL the command
l=
ine variables (proper syntax) up thru version 4.1.1.1/.

Another question is since some of these variables can be loaded via the
aut=
oexec.cfg. Can variables like pingboost, tos and others be set in the
auto=
exec.cfg instead of command line? Im guessing no, but thought I would at
l=
 east ask

I've been maintaining a list of command line, commands and cvars. I haven't
had a chance to update the list with Steam 2.0 client because I missed the
download window :( I haven't examined the either Steam servers since I
missed the Windows version (see above for excuse) and my Linux server has
been off line for a while now. Oh well

Anyhow, I know I'm that I'm missing a good number of new commands and such
for Steam anyways. Mayhaps anyone who didn't miss the download window would
kindly update it?
