There is a join-flood-after-ban bug that valve refuses to acknowledge that will cause seg faults at the will of the player. We run fc2. The Fool wrote: Such a good question... If i want to be evil i say, because of the 'new' owner of Steam/Valve (MS past...) "they" prefer Windows servers, and it is planed to leave lin. based ones buggy. If i want to be a good mood, i say they are not so good in linux servers as in windows. I'd like to be kind, so i say replace Debian... Also, is there a list on the Internet somewhere that shows all the current reported bugs in Source, Counter-Strike, and so forth? I have to confess that I don't read forums. How would you know if they did? Even if your motd has contact information, most players would ignore it or at the least not remember it. Banned legitimate players don't complain, they just go somewhere else, and you probably never know that you just lost a (another) player. - I've never had a legitimate user complain. Ever. As the exe is compiled against .5 there's not much you can do to find out but I suspect it would pretty minimal if not negative as I believe .6 includes a lot more validation checking. Do you use "libstdc++-3.4.2-6.fc3"? If yes, install in place the "libstdc++-3.3.3-7". If not, the issue is something similar (using outdated and/or fedora3 libraries). Hi Richy, maybe a symbolic link from libstdc++.so.6 to libstdc++.so.5 will solve the problem.
