[hlds_linux] HLTV - what happened to director_i386.so?

2006-11-06 Thread Kemal Hadimli

I noticed that new server installations don't come with the
autodirector module, director_i386.so. Is there any reason for this?
Was it removed intentionally? Autodirector not working both on linux
and windows.

(there's also a "bannerfile" bug on hltv but i'm not mentioning that)

Guys, for starters that is a valid unsubscribe attempt, just sent to
the list address and not the list manager address. (hlds_linux-admin,
probably)

The guy obviously knows how to use a mailing list, he just made a
mistake.

Deadlocks, livelocks, and race conditions, oh my!

On the first day of November, a group of technology journalists were
invited to a special press event held at Valve's headquarters in Bellevue,
Washington. There, we were treated to an unveiling of the company's new
programming strategy, which has been completely realigned around supporting
multiple CPU cores. Valve is planning on more than just supporting them. It
wants to make the absolute maximum use of the extra power to deliver more
than just extra frames per second, but also a more immersive gaming experience.

If you look at the bottom of *EACH MESSAGE* sent to the mailing list, you
would see this:

To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives,
please visit:
http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux

My intuition says that you should visit that link...
