Re: [hlds_linux] Linux Source Dedicated Server Beta Available
I have also tested this beta but the problems are not completely gone. Things are better but i suspect that same core problem still exists. For some reason, lets say many things happen at the same time, tickrate still drops from steady 33,5/s to 32-31 and thats the point when you experience the glitch on the screen. Ive monitored this tickrate drop and in/out values with net_graph 3 while playing and almost every time when there is a drop, client (me) is forced to send more packets to the server, instead of steady 33,5/s, i get to send for example 34,5/s for few secs. Its as if the server would have a hiccup and after that it asks more data from clients for some time and it gets back to normal. On another server which is tick 66, the drop is more radical during round. From 66 it goes as down to 60 and then clibs back up to 66. -ics Mike Dussault kirjoitti: Has anyone tried this beta? Re: [hlds_linux] Linux Source Dedicated Server Beta Available
we're running this beta... but still no improvement with the mid-round hitches. besides that: running without problems. btw: any news about the "dynamic timeslicing" thing? i really don't want to recompile the kernel just to solve those hitches which didn't exist before the june 12th update :*( - Original Message - From: "Mike Dussault" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Tuesday, July 31, 2007 12:36 AM Subject: RE: [hlds_linux] Linux Source Dedicated Server Beta Available Has anyone tried this beta? [hlds_linux] HalfD
-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Hi guys What the hell happened to HalfD? I loved that tool, and the site is gone? Does it still work, is there a "latest" version available somewhere? I will cry like a little girl if I can't get HalfD, it made me a happy admin back in the day :( Kind regards, René Luckow -- ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
