me that when I place the designate the lan port on my servers it makes
it accessible from the wan, and when I don't, it is only accessible from
the lan (which strikes me as odd).

thats it, thx a lot, now i can stay at linux and dont have to move the
gameservers to windows.

I removed the +ip and -nomaster and now every Client can see the
GameServers.

[hlds_linux] TF2 arena_lumberyard medkit problem

2008-09-26 Thread Kveri
Hello,

I have problem, on my TF2 server (tickrate 66) when someone on
arena_lumberyard tries to cross medkit wood (there is only one medkit in
this map), he falls like there is no wood at all. On other servers I can
go for medkit with all classes, including slow like heavy. On my server
I can pickup the medkit only with scout (by mid-air jump), with other
classes when I step on the wood I fall thru the wood, like noclip but
with gravity.
What I should do?

Thanks.

It might be worth deleting the map and letting the updater download it
again, but my suspicion is that if it was that kind of issue it would be
noticeable (clients would complain I think)

Re: [hlds_linux] TF2 arena_lumberyard medkit problem

2008-09-26 Thread Faustas Buškevičius
I would start by trying to run the map on a clean server (i.e. without
addons/mods and default server.rc) to see if server is messing with
map objects. I would then triple-check consistency of the map. Try
running it on another processor (i.e. try P4 or Core2 if running Xeon,
try Intel if running AMD). If all else fails, file a bug report.

[hlds_linux] Headshot and Hit Location Logs for Day of Defeat: Source

2008-09-26 Thread Crazy Canucks
I'm trying to set up Psychostats for Day of Defeat: Source, and I am
wondering how server ops are getting headshot, damage and hit location
entries in their logs. I know it is possible because I've seen other
sites with those stats.

I tried Statsme Minimum for DOD:S but for some reason Psychostats wasn't
reading the log entries from it. Just to be clear, Psychostats doesn't
have anything to do with the headshot, damage and hit location entries
in the logs, it just reads them.

Thanks in advance, Drek

You need some plugin like statsmenimum that makes more detailed logs.
Mani-admin, Beetlesmod and propably Sourcemod with additional plugin
have these features but since you are looking it for Dod:Source, i would
go into sourcemod
forums.

I think the HLStatsX plugins for SourceMod are what I am looking for. I
kinda answered my own question not long after I posted to the list.
We'll see if they work. I want to stick with SourceMod if at all
possible, so hopefully this will work. Thanks for the suggestions.

Look into the psychostats .tar.gz, there are plugins for several admin
suites to add these informations to the logs.
It's in the addons folder, you have plugins for amxmodx (hl1 engine),
eventscripts and sourcemod (for dod:s, you may want the one for sourcemod)
