[hlds_linux] L4D: forks and autoupdate
Hello, does it work if we have forks and autoupdate set? Last night it seems not to work with the update. The servers just went down and never came back. We used srcds_run to start the forks. Any hints? Best regards Ronny Schedel ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux

Re: [hlds_linux] Left 4 Dead Update Available - no version mismatch errors!
FYI, it still let people join servers w/ update mismatches, however they just were kind of stuck. This is not good, it should have given version mismatch errors, and caused a lot of confusion on our end until I got the idea to try running an update on the server, and then we all restarted steam. Re: [hlds_linux] hlds_linux Digest, Vol 11, Issue 74
Yeah, tickrate 100 makes no sense. I didn't set this server up, so don't blame me. I just am trying to fix it now that it broke. Anyways, thanks for the great advice. It was a simple fix. After running it in gdb, I found it was simply missing the scripts/objects.txt. Replaced it and now it's back to normal. Not sure how it was deleted though. Thanks again and I'll go back to lurking...
