[hlds_linux] Question about choke and loss
Hello ppl, i'm having problems with my server, i got mounted 3 servers 12 slots each in a Quad 2 Core 4GB of ram, and 10Mbps, GNU/Debian , when the players use the microphone they are geting some loss and choke, for example 4 players talking got 15 choke. I'm running the command line with -pingboost 3 +sys_ticrate. What cause this issue ? Sorry for my poor english :(. Any of the pingboosts, rather. With -pingboost in use the daemon apparently ignores the -sys_ticrate switch (at least that's what I gathered from Alfred). I think that HLTV still uses old Goldsource querying protocol, while latest HL1 mods use Source protocol. The problem is that since few weeks CS/CZ/Steam ignores A2S_INFO replies using Goldsource format (to filter out protocol 47 servers) and MAYBE this is why HLTV servers appear as having 0/0 players... Valve should update HLTV servers to reply to A2S_INFO queries using Source format for packets.
