[hlds_linux] VAC not working?
Hey. Today i banned two cheaters from my VAC server.. When i check vacbanned.com they have status BANNED. How did they play on my server?... Also my friend can join with a VAC banned account sometimes via consol. In HLSW it says that server is VAC protected and all the right ports are open and no firewall. Re: [hlds_linux] VAC not working?
VAC bans work on a per-engine basis - it's possible they were VAC banned from CS:S but not CS, for example -Original Message- From: hlds_linux-boun...@list.valvesoftware.com [mailto:hlds_linux- boun...@list.valvesoftware.com] On Behalf Of Christopher Szabo Sent: 29 September 2010 11:46 To: hlds_linux@list.valvesoftware.com Subject: [hlds_linux] VAC not working? Re: [hlds_linux] VAC not working?
VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) bans cheaters on an engine-specific basis. So if someone is banned by VAC on one engine, they can still connect to secure servers on another engine. For example, someone that is banned on CS 1.6 can play on CS:S servers until they are caught hacking there. Fortunately, each players VAC status is readily available on their Steam Community profile. [b]quote from the url below[/b] But what you can do is to install this plugin https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=80942highlight=vac+status+checker It checks the steam community profile for ban info. And if they are banned there. You have diff choices in the config. Ban, kick or log. //Daniel 2010/9/29 Christopher Szabo sza...@hotmail.com: Hey. Today i banned two cheaters from my VAC server..
