[hlds_linux] TF2 - Game server authentication: FAILURE!

2011-12-05 Thread Nevermore Imperium
Hello guys,
I see this in my console at server startup:

Connection to Steam servers successful.
   Public IP is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
   VAC secure mode is activated.
Current item schema is up-to-date with version BD014349.
Received auth challenge; signing into gameserver account...
Game server authentication: FAILURE!
   Incorrect identity token

Is there something wrong with my server?
Does it affect something in it?

Thank you!

Re: [hlds_linux] TF2 - Game server authentication: FAILURE!

2011-12-05 Thread ics
Your server seems to have incorrect identitty token. Start TF2 with the
account you registered your server with and type cl_gameserver_list to
your game console. Look at the token there and compare it to your
server.cfg token. Note that the last dot is not part of the token so if
you have that there, take it off.

[hlds_linux] replay issues

2011-12-05 Thread Eric Riemers
So our replay ftp server went down, i thought it was fixed at some point..
but now ALL my servers are down because of the replay server not being
there.

They are all just "hanging" doing nothing.

*
* Replay recording shutting down due to publishing error! Recording will
begin
* at the beginning of the next round, but may fail again.
*

And hanging, on another box:

* ERROR: Publish timed out after 60 seconds.

And after that same message as above, but still hanging.

Eric

If you can attach gdb and get a stack trace, that would be helpful.

Re: [hlds_linux] replay issues

2011-12-05 Thread Emil Larsson
We stumbled upon this ourselves long ago that Linux crashes would freeze if
the FTP server went down for whatever reason. It hadn't happened recently
so I can't give any useful data (like GDB/stack traces) but I can at least
confirm that it happened under a Linux server.

I switched to running a local apache server with a symlink to the
replay directory because of this a while back. If you have a full
dedicated, it's worth doing it that way.

yeah, but for the sake of memory usage/cpu usage, don't use
apache, go nginx/lighttpd with as minimal modules as possible.

srcupdatecheck now uses the new steam API check to detect updates,

rather

than pinging the master server.

grab

this update, your update checking will cease to function!

There are no other changes since beta v1.8

Since the last stable, 1.7, the new features are:
- srcupdatecheck works with python 3 versions, so it now supports v2.4

-

v3.2+
- added '-onbootcmd'
- Fixed a few bugs, see ChangeLog

The newest version can always be found here:
