one wording was quite interesting on that "resupply ammo" not "resupply the
timer for the sandvich"

in other words, drop the sandvich and get ammo, or eat it to get health
must be quite some IRON(y) in that sandvich

The trolls are really having their fun now. I just saw one involving
Hitler and Anne Frank. Totally worth $100.

Interesting observation:

I was sitting with TF2 on the startup screen, idle, and had gotten a few
of the world notifications. I went to click and see what interesting
things people were coming up with... and nothing. The icon disappeared
when my mouse hovered over it.

Maybe a bug. Or, Valve has an anti-message notification that can remove
pending notifications that would be shown on your startup screen.

That being said, in-game notifications are still being displayed, and

Re: [hlds_linux] srcds css voice laggs ?

2012-02-14 Thread Kyle Sanderson
Does this happen to you? I've only seen that happen when using voice
detection instead of using binds. If the server is playing nicely with
itself and there are no lost "ticks", everything seems to be fine.

I can't say I've compared the codecs that greatly though, packet loss or
choke could be the cause for the author.

In the last weeks I get reportings of some customers that they get laggs
when they speak via the ingame voice. The customers are on different
machines (other hardware and kernels tested as well).

Can this be a srcds problem? I really have to clue what to do with them.
The affected players said that they don't have the laggs on others
 servers.

I appreciate any help and hints.

Voice never lags for me, it usually just cuts off, even after a middle
of a word. It started when the new codec came out.

I've only seen voice lag when something like dos or ddos is happening to
the server or network.

Sounds like he's posting on behalf of a GSP, not as a server admin.
