Yes amxmodx has this feature.
Or at least there is a plugin that has hat feature.

As far as I recall, tere is a similar plugin for adminmod and amxmodx.

SV: [hlds_linux] Start/Stop Server Interface?

2005-08-24 Thread [Old*Boys]Drone
Well if you are into webcoding, write your own php based interface. Create
some simple start and stop scripts. Make sure that the user running the
webserver, is allowed access to these scripts (could use sudo). Execute
these scripts from your webinterface. Simple coding, when talking about
functionality. How pretty is up to you.

I was wondering if anyone out there could recommend a simple start/stop
process web interface for linux servers? Or any kind of control panel type
deals?

Thanks!

[hlds_linux] CSS+Metamod: Problem with -verify all & gameinfo.txt

2005-08-14 Thread [Old*Boys]Drone
Why don't you just script your updates.

cp gameinfo.txt gameinfo.txt.bak
update
cp gameinfo.txt.bak gameinfo.txt

There can't be that many files, that you want to protect.

I try this but then the updater will crash at this file so no updates

It would by nice to have a way to exclude such files like the

[hlds_linux] Srcds best mod

2005-07-08 Thread [Old*Boys]Drone
Hi list!

I finally got my Source:CS server running and performing ok. So now it's
almost time to make it publicly available. Before that I would like to
AMXmod like functionality. What is currently the best mod? Performance is
more important than functionality.

I've heard about beetlemod an manimod are there any others?

Download link appreciated.

I find myself being asked quite often about what CPU/net requirements it
takes to run a server. I have answers based upon our internal
playtesting but I would also like to hear what you guys use in the wild.

So, my questions are:
1) What speed CPU do you use for a 32 player HL1 server (CS 1.6)
2) What speed CPU do you use for a 32 player Source server (CS:S)
3) How much bandwidth per user do you allow for a HL1 server
4) How much bandwidth per user do you allow for a Source server
5) How much difference is there in these requirements for other mods?

I would have said your map name had a typo too, maybe you shouldnt knock
back people so fast...

Whats the error message you get?

Also, make sure rcon_address is set to "" when you join your server, so it
tries to connect to the server your currently playing on.

That typo is not present in the command line I use.

[hlds_linux] srcds help rcon not working

2005-06-07 Thread [Old*Boys]Drone

Hi list :-)

Im trying to setup a srcds cstrike server. But I have come across 1
problem. Rcon doesn't seem to work.

I have tried rcon via HLSW and in game rcon, none of them work.
This is not a new problem, I just haven't had the time to seek help before
now. So this should be unrelated to the change in query format.

My server.cfg contains:
rcon_password "***"

My guess is, maybe a firewall problem. What port does rcon use?
(I can connect to the server, just not rcon)

I have 3 cs 1.6 servers running on the box, with no problems whatsoever.
So it shouldn't be a general problem.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi all!

Hope someone can help me out with thi sone.

For some reason HLTV has a problem connecting to my cs 1.6 servers. The log
only reveals that HLTV was kicked not why. The only fix I have found so far,
is to changelevel a couple of times until HLTV suddenly I allowed to
connect. There is no difference which HLTV server it is, that is trying to
connect. I have had the problem with, a HLTV server running of the same
